Vintage Italian handpainted majolica ceramic candleholder of a charming lady holding three birds. Italian 'Le Pupe', or Dolls belong to a tradition of Grottaglie of the 19th Century and are still made today by the Carmelo Carriero studio, est. 1979.
Signed 'C. Carriero Italy' (Carmelo Carriero) with a '022' to the base.
