Japanese Mimikuchi brass flower vase
Heavy 19th / 20th Century Japanese cast twin handled brass (or gilt bronze) vase of Mimikuchi form decorated with spiral detail to front and back. Mimikuchi translates to ‘ear mouth’ in Japanese and these vases were used as vessels for flower arrangements. Unsigned.
Some light tarnishing / patina which adds character and age to the piece but in good antique condition. There is wear on the interior where the vase has likely held water over the decades.
